We collect your verified email, name, postal address, and phone number to administer your membership, confirm your reading location and schedule, contact you about your account, and fulfil the published competition rules.

Reading progress, contact details, payment status, and address are private. Public winner records use only the display format you approve. Optional reminders can be disabled from account settings.

Account passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes. Session, verification, and reset secrets are stored as keyed hashes with expiry dates; the original secrets are not retained in the database.

The final controller identity, retention periods, data-access contact, and lawful-basis text must be supplied before production launch.
